A woman walks away from a Chevrolet Corvette with a phone and a pair of shoes after the car was involved in a three-vehicle crash at Kittyhawk Avenue and Hotel Road in Auburn on Friday afternoon. Police said the driver of the Corvette, Gary Paladino, 56, of Poland was driving on Kittyhawk Road toward Poland when his car collided with a Hyundai driven by Bonnie Bergeron, 55, of Topsham. Police said early indications are that Bergeron failed to yield while crossing Kittyhawk on Hotel Road. Her car struck Paladino’s and the impact forced the Hyundai into the front of a dump truck driven by Derrick Nutt, 32, of Hebron. Bergeron and a passenger were taken to a Lewiston hospital to be evaluated and were released later in the day. The crash remains under investigation.
