LEWISTON — Announcement is made of the engagement of Jessada Govindasamy of Lewiston and Robert Parsons of Oakland.
The future bride is the daughter of Shirley Govindasamy. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University at Long Beach, Calif., and is working on her master’s degree in human resources at Thomas College in Waterville. She is currently working at Bates College in the president’s office and plans to start a new position at Colby College in the Office of Campus Life in June.
The future bridegroom is the son of Jane Parsons of Oakland. He is a former Marine and graduated from Kennebec Valley Community College with an associate degree in industrial electrical electronics technology. He currently works for Pan Am Railways.
The wedding will be held on Aug. 3 at the Peter J. Gomes Chapel at Bates College in Lewiston.
