Why are voters allowing legislators to play politics with health care and Medicaid? MaineCare is simply a continuation of Gov. John Baldacci’s Dirigo program.

Politicians are only looking out for the next election.

Shouldn’t officials put in more effort seeking out the violators who are taking advantage of Maine’s poorly managed system?

Numerous parents seem to be teaching their children about how easy it is to take handouts. Why work when you can live off the taxpayers? Putting 70,000 more Mainers on MaineCare without close supervision would only add more fuel to the fire.

People can help in many ways by being more observant in their neighborhoods. Report the violators to the proper authorities so they can deal with the abusers. Then officials can focus on the people who deserve help.
