POLAND SPRING — The Poland Spring Preservation Society has announced that the Tony Boffa Trio will open the annual summer concert series at Poland Spring on Monday, June 17. The summer concert series is scheduled for 7 p.m. every Monday from June 17 through August 26 at the All Souls Chapel.

The Tony Boffa Trio consists of Shawna Hayley-Bear on vocals, Jim Macisso on bass and vocals, and Tony Boffa on guitar and vocals. They are three members of the Tony Boffa eight-piece show-and-dance band.

Their strong three-part harmony and repertoire that covers seven decades of music has made them a unique musical group in this region. The fun and the challenge is covering so many genres with three voices and sparse instrumentation.

All proceeds benefit the preservation and restoration of the Maine State Building and All Souls Chapel, both of which are listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Proceeds also help fund the nonprofit’s educational programs. Tickets are $7.50 at the door and include refreshments. Members of the Society may be seated at 6:25 p.m. with the general public following at 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 207-998-4142 or visit www.polandspringps.org.
