LEWISTON — Cecelia A. (ChiChi) Davidson, 82, of Mechanic Falls, died Monday morning, June 10, at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Bowdoinham, Jan. 11, 1931, the daughter of Lawrence and Margaret Dunne Rideout.
She attended Lewiston schools and worked in the Boston area as a health aide, then as a housekeeper at Pineland Center. ChiChi lived a life of service. She would take in anyone and do anything for everyone. She attended Our Lady of Ransom Church, was active in the Mary Club and was a strong supporter of Catholic charities. She was married to Robert J. Davidson Jr., who predeceased her.
Survivors include her children, Sharon and Catherine, both of Boston, Mass., Robert III, of Mechanic Falls, and Laurie Hutchins of New Gloucester; grandchildren, Thomas and William of Boston, Mass., Sean and Mark of Mechanic Falls and Jasmine of South Paris; two great-grandchildren, Sean Jr. and William; her favorite son-in-law, Thomas Simpson of New Hampshire; a sister, Jane Cronin of Lewiston; a brother, Raymond Rideout of Florida.
She was predeceased by a sister, Mary.
