TURNER — A house was condemned after it was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning.

A sport utility vehicle plowed into the home on Schoolhouse Road after the driver had a medical problem, Maine State Police Trooper Elgin Physic said.

Stephen Walsh was taken to a hospital for observation, the trooper said.

Homeowners Kerrie Robbins and Jesse Nickerson were not there at the time. The local code enforcement officer condemned their house due to extensive structural damage, Physic said.

Walsh was driving his Mazda Tribute at about 4:02 p.m. when the accident occurred.
