My husband was driving behind a local middle school bus recently and a boy sitting in the back was turned around exhibiting a rude and obscene gesture all the way home.
No one deserves that disrespect, let alone my husband, who recently retired from the U.S. Army after 34 years of service that included two tours to Iraq.
A 13- or 14-year-old boy should have more respect for people.
Or, he could be turned around in his bus seat, using his time productively — like using all five fingers to start on his homework on the bus ride home.
