AUBURN — Donny Hinkley of Mechanics Savings Bank has been promoted to portfolio loan officer.

He will assist the commercial loan and private banking officers by managing the growth, risk and profitability of commercial loan portfolios. Hinkley has been employed by the bank since 2007.

He is a board member of Pathways Inc., a local nonprofit providing services to the developmentally disabled. He is also a board member of RMA Young Professionals, a group that seeks to enhance and benefit the career and personal development of financial service professionals.

Hinkley earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from USM in 2012 and is currently enrolled in its MBA program. He is a 2004 graduate of Leavitt Area High School in Turner. He and his wife live in Turner.
