Preteen dance set for June 20

PARIS — A preteen dance featuring TJ the DJ will take place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at American Legion Post 72, 12 Church St.

Admission is $5. The 20th person gets in free and receives $20.

There will be door prizes. Snacks and drinks will be available to purchase.

Red Hat Mommas meet June 26

BETHEL — The Red Hat Mommas of Western Maine held their monthly meeting May 29 at the Mill Hill Inn with 25 ladies attending. One birthday was celebrated.

The next meeting will be held Wednesday, June 26, at the Rangeley Country Club Inn. Cost of $19 for the buffet-style meal must be paid to Isabel by Friday, June 21.

They will leave the Mexico Shopping Plaza at 4 p.m. and will take a tour to see the lupines in bloom.

Church plans free supper

NORWAY — A free supper will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, June 21, at Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main St.

All are invited to join for a delicious lasagna dinner, salad and dessert.

The church is an open and affirming congregation. All are welcome to worship, study and join in fellowship. Worship during June, July and August is every Sunday at 9 a.m. Child care is available.

Kitten shower at pet shelter

PARIS — A kitten shower will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Responsible Pet Care Shelter & Adoption Center’s new location, 9 Lower Swallow Road, across from Paris Elementary School

For those in a hurry, donations can be dropped at the outside express donation station.

There will be door prizes, a raffle and refreshments.

Donation ideas include Purina Kitten Chow, cat toys, baby blankets, one-yard pieces of fleece, canned cat/kitten food, bleach, paper towels, laundry soap and hand sanitizer.
