NEW SHARON — The theme for the 2013 Summer Reading program at the Jim Ditzler Memorial Library is “Dig Into Reading.”
Readers of all ages will explore things underground beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, with a presentation on dinosaurs by the L.C. Bates Museum.
The remainder of the schedule is as follows:
Thursday, June 20, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., root vegetables.
Tuesday, June 25, 6 to 7 p.m., critters that live underground.
Tuesday, July 2, 6 to 7 p.m., caves.
The independent reading program and the teen program will run from June 18 through Aug. 24.
Children may win bookmarks, pencils, a book bag and a Gifford’s kid’s cone. Teenagers who complete their program will receive a movie pass.
All programs are free of charge.
