On May 11 a surprise block party celebration was held for Harry Dixon of Lewiston who recently turned 90. The Auburn Exchange Club, Harry’s neighborhood and family put together a barbecue for everyone to enjoy. Even the Lewiston Fire Dept. showed up in a fire truck. Robert Macdonald, Mayor of Lewiston, presented Dixon with a citation and commended him for his service to the country. Dixon is a World War II veteran. Guests were entertained by The Great Stephan, a magician. Dick Merrow from the Auburn Exchange Club brought emus for the kids to check out.
