DIXFIELD — Maurice R. Leblond, 71, of Brian Street, Dixfield, died at his residence on Wednesday, June 26.

He was born June 29, 1941, in Chisholm, the son of Alfred and Jeanne (LePage) Leblond, and had attended schools in Livermore.

During the Vietnam War, he served as an E4 U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969.

Maurice was a self-employed car restorer for many years. He was a member of the Napoleon Ouellette Post 24, American Legion, the Robert Shand Post 1641, VFW, and The Western Maine Street Rod Club.

Maurice was married Feb. 3, 1968, to Gloria Farnum for 43 years until her death Nov. 1, 2011.

Survivors include his daughter, Sherry Stallings of Bertram, Texas; grandchildren, Joey and Christopher Allen of Bertram, Texas, Cody Allen of Hover Valley, Texas, and Shannon Boyd and Ashley Stallings of Killeen, Texas; great-grandchildren, Presley, Hayden, Shay and Ashton Allen of Bertram, Texas, Elizabeth Allen of Hover Valley, Texas, and Elizabeth Stallings of Killeen, Texas; brothers, Lorenzo Leblond and wife, Irma, of Livermore Falls and Paul Leblond of New Sharon; a sister, Irean Guptill; and his beloved dog “Buddy.”
