Babe Ruth tourney
Auburn Suburban has been chosen as the site for this year’s 13-15-year-old Babe Ruth State Tournament.
The tournament will begin on Friday, July 19 and run thru Sunday, July 21 in a double-elimination format consisting of the state’s top four teams coming out of the district tournaments being held July 12 to the 15.
The winning team from the state tournament will move on to play in The Babe Ruth New England Tournament, beginning Aug. 2 in Newtown, Conn.
Maine softball
The University of Maine softball team will be hosting a golf tournament on Aug. 12 at Martindale Country Club.
Head coach Lynn Coutts will be the host of this event and invites all alumni and friends to what is sure to be a great day of golf. Cost is $100.
