AUBURN — St. Dominic Academy graduate Jordan Charest has been awarded a $1,000 Banking on the Future Scholarship from Mechanics Savings Bank. He is the son of John and Louise Charest.
While at St. Dom’s, Charest was a member of the Key Club, Varsity Club and was vice president of the National Honor Society. Charest is the recipient of the National Math Award, Williams College Book Award, the Rensselaer Meda, and the Exchange Club Award.
He was a member of St. Dominic Academy’s soccer, hockey, baseball and track teams. Charest worked as a soccer referee and farmhand and volunteered with the Mission to Mississippi Program and Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in the plant operations department.
This fall Charest will study aeronautical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he will work toward his master’s degree. His career goal is to start a company with his brother, who is a mechanical engineer at John Hopkins University.
