TURNER — Rosaire Roy, III, 48, of Turner, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 9, as a result of an inoperable brain tumor, surrounded by his wife, sons and extended family. “You left us too soon, Rosaire.”
He was born in Van Buren, Oct. 17, 1964, a son of Rosaire Roy Jr. and Marie (Rossignol) Roy. He attended Turner schools. On June 8, 1985, he married Lisa Marie Courbron and they have two sons, Shawn, 19 and Casey, 16.
Rosaire was a truck driver for 26 years, a job that he loved and for which he was able to customize to fit his family life that was always foremost in his goals. He loved the outdoors and was a robust man. He took his family on many outings camping on Androscoggin Island and boating. He also loved snowmobiling and riding his motorcycle. He was a loving and supporting husband and “hands on” father. He was seen as the patriarch of the Courbron and Roy families.
Surviving Rosaire are his wife, Lisa Roy of Turner; their sons, Shawn and Casey of Turner; his parents, Rosaire Roy Jr. and Marie of Turner, a sister, Sylvia Cozart of Leeds; two brothers, Steven Roy of Lewiston and David Roy of Greene; a granddaughter, Lyric Ann-Marie Roy, who was born 24 hours later after he passed; as well as many nieces, nephews and other relations on both sides of the Roy and Courbron families.
He was predeceased by a niece, Amanda L. Roy.
