RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Eugenie M. Arsenault of Rumford was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 13, at the Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius —St. John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Robert Vaillancourt as celebrant. Altar assistant was Bernard Poirier. Organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections included “How Great Thou Art,” “Hosea,” “Ave Maria” and “Fly Like a Bird.” First reading from the Old Testament was proclaimed by niece Karen Lupu and the second reading from the New Testament was proclaimed by nephew Marc Arsenault. The prayers of the faithful were proclaimed by her friend, Joan Lepage. The eulogy and words of reflection were given by her daughter-in-law, Sally Arsenault. Presentation of the gifts were done by granddaughters Paula Duda and Andrea Garnet and grandsons Ryan and Aaron Arsenault. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Robert Vaillancourt. Interment was at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. A reception followed at 49 Franklin St., Rumford. Arrangements were under the care of the MEADER & SON FUNERAL HOME, 3 Franklin St., P.O. Box 537, Rumford, ME 04276.
