WOOLWICH — Two men were taken to Mid Coast Hospital Friday morning after a crash on Route 1 near the Taste of Maine restaurant.

Henry Wagner, 19, whose address was not available Friday morning, was headed north on Route 1 just after 7 a.m. when he suddenly lost control of the 2005 Saab he was driving, hit a curb, struck a light post and rolled three times, Chief Deputy Brett Strout of the Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Office said.

Witnesses reported that Wagner “was traveling and operating in a dangerous manner, weaving in and out of traffic,” Strout said.

Wagner and Stefan Allen, 19, a passenger in the front seat, were uninjured, but two occupants in back seats were taken to Mid Coast Hospital. Henry Kelley, 20, was transported for knee injuries and Jake Rockefeller, 20, was transported for head and neck injuries, Strout said. No addresses were available Friday morning.

The crash remains under investigation and Strout said he did not yet know whether charges would be filed. He said alcohol is not suspected as a contributing factor.
