died 2013

WEYMOUTH, Mass. — Virginia “Ginny” (Willis) Litchfield of Holbrook, Mass., 69, formerly of Weymouth, Mass., and Sumner, died Wednesday, July 17, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Ginny worked for Morgan Linen Services for over 15 years. After her retirement in 2008, she went on to work for Babies R’ Us for three years.

She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, traveling and gambling trips to Foxwoods with family and friends. For the last 25 years, Ginny and her family have enjoyed many summer vacations to Papoose Pond in Waterford. Her family was the foundation of all that was important to her, and she will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her son, Allan M. Litchfield Jr. and his wife, Stephanie, of Buckfield; daughters, Vicki L. Rogers of Norway, Heidi Scibilio and her husband, Tony, of Weymouth, and Melindy U. Worthley and her husband, Jamie, of Sumner; sisters, Jackie Buffington of Holbrook and Patti McCarthy of Merritt Island, Fla.; brother, David Willis of Middleboro; and many nieces and nephews. Ginny was also the cherished “Grammie” of 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
