DETROIT (AP) — Police say an arrest has been made in the death of a Maine man last week.
Maine public safety spokesman Steve McCausland said Wednesday that 22-year-old Jason Cote was arrested and charged with murder in the death of 47-year-old Ricky Cole of Detroit, Maine.
McCausland said in a news release the state medical examiner concluded that Cole died from blunt force trauma. His body was found July 18 inside his mobile home. McCausland said the two men knew each other, although he didn’t say how. Investigators didn’t know if either man was employed.
He said Cote lives with his brother in Palmyra, and will be held in the Somerset County Jail, pending a court appearance Thursday or Friday in Skowhegan. It was not clear if Cote had a lawyer.
