1927 – 2013

AUBURN —Irene A. Pratte, 86, of Goffee Street, Lewiston, died Saturday, July 27, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin, with her family by her side.

She was born in Chartierville P.Q., Canada, on April 3, 1927, the daughter of the late Johnny and Alice (Dubois) Boudreau.

On Oct. 28, 1944, she married her husband, Alphee Pratte, and together had four children. In March of 1954 they moved to Maine.

Irene worked in the local shoe factories until her retirement in 1985. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of Holy Cross Parish.

She is survived by her four children, Camille Laliberte and her husband, Michel, Solange Pepin and her husband, Richard, Bibianne Laliberte and her husband, Marcel, and Jean Pratte and his wife, Patti; one sister, Anita Roberge; two brothers, Ernest and Normand Boudreau; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three sisters-in-law, Laurette Duquette, Leose Ducharme and Florianne Deschesne; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband of 68 years, Alphee, who died Aug. 2, 2012, she was predeceased by two sisters; six brothers; five grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law.
