1924 – 2013
ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. — Philip G. Galarneau, 89, beloved husband and dad, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer and heart disease, on Monday, July 29, in Zephyrhills, Fla.
Phil was born in 1924 in Brunswick to William and Josephine Richard Galarneau, one of nine children. He married Faith Pushor in 1943, shortly before enlisting in the U.S. Army. Philip was a proud veteran of World War II. He and Faye lived for many years in Rumford and Mexico, and retired to Zephyrhills, Fla., in 1982.
He is survived by his son, Preston and his wife, Deborah; daughter, Sandra Thibodeau and her husband, Guy; daughter, Althea Gaumont and her husband, William; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Phil was predeceased by his eldest son, Philip II.
