BATH — Joel Edward Theriault, 39, died Sunday, Aug. 4, at his residence in Bath. He was formerly of Rumford.
Born in Hartford, Conn., on March 11, 1974, he was a son of William and Mary Lou (Vanderhoff) Theriault. He was a graduate of Mountain Valley High School in Rumford with the Class of 1993. Joel served in the United States Navy and worked as a carpenter for Roberts Renovations in Bath for many years.
He was a communicant of the Parish of The Holy Savior/St. Athanasius-St. John Church. He enjoyed sports, especially the New York Yankees, Boston Celtics and the New England Patriots. One of his greatest assets was his smile and his love of family.
Survivors include his parents, William J. “Bill” and Mary Lou Theriault of Rumford; son, Landon Theriault of Bath; sister, Shelly Lord and companion, Jason Young, of Rumford; two brothers, Scott Theriault and his wife, Nancy, of Strong, Jason Theriault and companion, Stacy Fortin, of Rumford; his companion, Amanda Rowan, of Bath; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
