FARMINGTON — A fatal crash closed a portion of Route 27 Friday morning. The road is expected to re-open after a tractor-trailer is cleared from the scene.
The truck was traveling north on Route 27 near the Farmington-New Vineyard line about 9 a.m. when a minivan traveling south crossed the center line. After the collision, the truck went into the ditch, Franklin County Sheriff Deputy Matthew Brann said at the scene about noon.
One person was killed in the incident.
The reason for the minivan crossing the line is under investigation, Brann said.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
