FARMINGTON — The Planning Board will review a change in use for a large home on Court Street when they meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, at the town office.

Byron Davis of Riverbend Properties Management seeks approval to turn the house at 109 Court St. into eight apartments, Code Enforcement Officer Steve Kaiser said. The plan is expected to start with six units first, he added.

The former home of Nikki Adams requires renovations to convert it into apartments but no major structural changes, Kaiser said. It’s on a large lot that can meet the requirements for parking, one space for each bedroom, he said.

Davis plans to clear the exterior and yard and make energy efficiency improvements to the home.

A longtime property manager, Davis does a good job maintaining his properties and managing tenants, Kaiser said.

In other business, the board will go over updated plans for the Whittier Road bank stabilization.

The board approved the plan in 2011 under shoreland and floodplain zoning rules, but the engineering plans for the project recently have changed, Kaiser said.

Selectmen will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Town Office and are expected o consider holding a special meeting Aug. 20 to award a contract for the Whittier Road and Sandy River bank stabilization project, according to their Aug. 13 agenda.

The Planning Board will also continue its review of the Comprehensive Plan,  considering portions dealing with population, he said.
