NORWAY — Ren Chu has joined the midmanagement team at The Progress Center as manager of Employment and Community Services.

Chu has a varied and extensive history of supporting cognitively challenged individuals. A graduate of Husson University with a bachelor of science degree in clinical psychology, his background in mental health includes work in homeless shelters, psychiatric hospitals, group homes, mental health agencies and schools.

Chu is a resident of Mexico and has two daughters.

The Progress Center is a social service agency that supports approximately 231 individuals and families with intellectual and developmental disabilities in 49 communities in four Maine counties.
