Country Music Jamboree
JAY — A Country Music Jamboree will be held from noon to 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Where The Heck R We Campground, 261 Davenport Hill Road. There will be a variety of musicians playing throughout the day. For more information call 897-8113.
Public supper at Masonic Hall
LIVERMORE — A public supper will be held Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Masonic Hall, 60 Church St., the road connecting Routes 4 and 108.
Menu will be beans and franks, bread, cole slaw and apple crisp. Cost is $7 per person, adjusted for families.
Horseshoe tournament
FARMINGTON — The 7th annual Donn Barker Memorial Horseshoe Tournament will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Farmington Elks Lodge, School Street.
Registration fee is $10 per person. Sign up will start at 10 a.m. Team drawing will be at 10:30 a.m.
Lunch will be catered. T-shirts will be sold. There will be a 50/50 raffle.
Proceeds will benefit the Elks Lodge Backyard Funds.

Benefit for Stanley family
WILTON — A benefit to raise money for the family of Ronald Stanley of Wilton will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at the American Legion Hall.
The money raised will go towards a “Celebration of Life” and to help support his wife through these trying times.
There will be a spaghetti dinner followed by DJ Frosty-Fever, aka DV FEVA, at 4 p.m. There will be a silent auction and 50/50 raffle throughout the event and drawings will be held at 5.
Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children at the door. All ages are welcome and encouraged.
