1950 – 2013
VASSALBORO — Kenneth W. Lee, 63, of Vassalboro, died Monday, Aug. 19, as the result of an automobile accident. God chose a beautiful, sunny day to take him Home.
He was born in Jay on Jan. 17, 1950, the son of Jack and Rita (Gagnon) Lee. Ken received a diploma from the Auburn School of Commerce in accounting, an associate degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Fort Kent.
Ken was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving stateside during the Vietnam Conflict. He was employed in the unemployment adjudication division for the State of Maine Department of Labor. Ken had been an assistant scout master of the Winslow Boy Scout Troop. He was also a Eucharistic Minister at St. Bridget’s in Vassalboro.
He enjoyed his grandkids and woodworking, as well as his cats. Ken was a member of the American Legion Post 10 in Livermore Falls, DAV in Augusta and State Employees Association Area 2 Retirees.
Ken is survived by his wife, Irene Lee of Vassalboro; son, Matthew Lee and companion, Danielle Thibodeau, and his son, Austin, and her sons, Jordan Thibodeau and Javin Seeley of Waterville; a daughter, Marcy Gage and husband, Donald, and son, Thomas of Canaan; his mother, Rita Fuller of Jay; a sister, Juanita Bouchard and husband, Kenneth, of Jay; a stepbrother, Steve Fuller and wife, Ellen, of San Ramon, Calif.; stepsisters, Karen Blais and husband, Norman, of Ticonderoga, N.Y., and Janet Nichols and husband, Keith, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; several beloved brothers- and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
Ken was predeceased by his father, Jack Lee; stepfather, Maurice Fuller; and sister, Linda Tilton.
