1948 – 2013

AUBURN — Larry W. Norton, 65, of Andover, died early Monday morning, Aug. 19, at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn.

He was born on Jan. 30, 1948, in Farmington, a son of Phillip and Avis (Webber) Norton and attended local schools.

Larry worked at various jobs throughout his life, but his work usually centered around working with wood. For many years, he worked in the woods and as a carpenter. Most recently, he worked for Ethan Allen in the Andover Wood Products shop. He also had seasonal employment at Sunday River in Newry.

He enjoyed four-wheeling and fishing, but his greatest pleasure was time spent with his granddaughters.

Larry is survived by his two sons, Toby Tyler and his wife, Melanie, of Farmington Falls, and Todd Tyler of Leeds; granddaughters, Elisha, Alexus and Lilah Tyler; and four sisters, Cheryl Norton, Wendy Marquis, Trisha Atwood and Josie Heroux.

He was predeceased by his parents; longtime companion since the age of 13, Nancy C. Tyler, on Jan. 11, 2011; and daughter, Elisha Tyler, on Sept. 16, 1981.

Words of condolence and tribute may be shared with his family on his tribute wall at www.wilesrc.com.
