RUMFORD — The Best Halloween Ever by Barbara Robinson will be produced by the Paper Moon Players and they are looking for actors and actresses to join the show. The story goes that every Halloween the Herdman kids steal candy, spray paint other kids and take hostage anything that isn’t nailed down. This year promises to be the same until the mayor decides to cancel Halloween.

That means there would be no Herdman trouble to contend with, but it also means no candy, no costumes and no trick or treating. Is it possible that the Herdmans themselves could make what looks like a horrible Halloween into the best one ever?

All roles are open for adults and children. The Best Halloween Ever will be directed by Keith A.Grassette, assisted by Melissa Hope Fallon and produced by Cindy and Scot Grassette.

Auditions are set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 49 Franklin St. Rehearsals will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Performances dates are October 18, 19 and 20.
