LEWISTON — Roger E. Morin, 85, a resident of Russell Street in Lewiston, died Saturday, Aug. 24., at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

He was born in Lewiston April 18, 1928, the son of Henri and Marie Rose (Lacroix) Morin.

Roger was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict serving as a corporal with the 40th Artillery Division in Korea, Japan and California. Following the war, he was employed with the Lewiston School Department for 25 years until his retirement in 1996.

He was an avid outdoorsman all his life and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife the former, Venice T. Beaudoin, whom he married May 9, 1953, of Lewiston; two sons, Richard E. Morin and wife, Diane, Ronald P. Morin and fiancée, Christine; one daughter, Debra M. Hiscock; two sisters, Doralice and Dorothy Morin; one brother, Robert C. Morin; five grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Nathan and wife, Amy, Nicholas and wife, Britton Morin, and Brian Hiscock; and his great-grandchildren, Izabel, Izac, Cooper, Laila, Alexis, Zoe, and Sam.

He was predeceased by his sister Theresa.
