AUBURN — A Sunday morning trip to church left one parishoner’s car run over and another vehicle rolled into a ditch.
According to Lt. Rick Coron of the Auburn Police Department, Edna Sullivan of Turner was traveling southbound on Route 4 around 11 a.m. and attempting to change lanes as she approached St. Philip Catholic Church.
Coron said she did not see the dual-axle pickup truck driven by Roger Ouellette of Turner beside her when she turned her vehicle toward the truck.
“He tried to avoid her, but it was too late,” Coron said of Ouellette, who rolled over Sullivan’s hood, causing him to travel on his side for a distance before rolling into a ditch.
Coron said Sullivan was shaken but uninjured, and Ouellette received some scrapes to his forehead while trying to exit his vehicle.
