St. Luke’s plans annual yard sale
WILTON — St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will hold their annual yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, in the parking lot of the church, 59 High St. at the corner of High and School streets. Rain or shine.

Legion bingo every Saturday
KINGFIELD — American Legion Post 61 will hold bingo every Saturday. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and games begin at 6:30.
All-you-can-eat breakfast
KINGFIELD — A community all-you-can-eat breakfast will be offered from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Kingfield United Methodist Church on High Street.
The menu will include homemade sausage gravy with biscuits, pancakes, French toast, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, home-fries, muffins, coffee and juice. The cost is $5 per person, all you can eat. A discounted rate is available for children.

Dickinson Rich home tour set
UPTON — A daylong tour of Forest Lodge and the Winter House where “We Took To The Woods” was written by Louise Dickinson Rich is planned for Saturday, Sept. 7, from 8 a.m. to about 4 p.m., give or take an hour depending on road conditions, etc.
Aldro French, known as The Keeper of The House, will be the host for this visit. French has owned the property for many years and has worked diligently to preserve the essence of this special place.
The visit includes round trip transportation, a special tour of Middle Dam led by the keeper of the dam (Harry), and a delightful box luncheon prepared by the Upton Ladies Aid including drinks, fresh fruit and decadent desserts. Spectacular views of Rapid River and surrounding areas. This is your chance to see the Winter House “wallpaper” as well as her typewriter and personal book collection. Recollections and stories about how things really were.

Cary Library sale, boutique
WAYNE — The Cary Library Book Sale and Boutique will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Williams House, 14 Old Winthrop Road, across the street from the Cary Library.
Take a morning break and shop at the ongoing book sale and boutique. Coffee, tea and breakfast breads will be for sale. Copies of the New York Times and the Boston Globe are available, as well as Wi-Fi and a comfortable place to settle down.
Proceeds will benefit the Williams House, a property of the Cary Library.
