Community yard sale
CANTON — The citizens of Canton and Hartford will hold a community yard sale starting at 7 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Route 140/108 intersection.
The $10 table rental benefits the Lake Anasagunticook Association. All sale proceeds belong to each vendor.
There will be furniture, baked goods, baby clothes, produce, crafts, tools, antiques and treasures.
Call Diane at 597-3091 to reserve a table. Set up is Friday afternoon and early Saturday.
Tri Town Seniors resume meetings
JAY — The Tri Town Seniors of the Jay/Livermore Falls area will begin their new season on Monday, Sept. 9, at a new meeting hall. The meetings will be held at the St. Rose Parish Hall on Church Street.
On Sept. 9 a casserole meal will be served at noon followed by a meeting and bingo, cards and games.
Those who live in the area and are 55 and over are invited to join the group on Mondays from September through May for a social time with friends or meet new ones.

Audubon: Unusual wildlife
FARMINGTON — The Western Maine Audubon monthly program, on “Investigating unusual wildlife occurrences,” will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, in Room C23, Roberts Learning Center, University of Maine at Farmington. The program is free and open to the public.
Wildlife biologists Chuck Hulsey and Bob Cordes will present the program. With the use of game cameras at multiple bait sites in Wilson’s Mills in the winter of 2013 they used their wildlife sleuth techniques and tools to solve some mysteries. Learn the do’s and don’ts of collecting and sharing physical or photo/video evidence.
Clearwater Homemakers
FARMINGTON — The Clearwater Homemakers will meet for program planning at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at Shorey Chapel.
