SOUTH PARIS — Ruth Lowell Twitchell, 83, of South Paris, died Sunday, Aug. 25, at her home.

Ruth was born in East Hebron on Aug. 13, 1930.

She is survived by four children, Cherie Whitman of South Paris, Ted Whitman of Lewiston, Karen Vice and husband, Wayne, of Jacksonville, Ala., and Michael Whitman and wife, Jessica, of Georgetown, Ind.; four grandchildren, Alexandra Ray and husband, Nathaniel, of Minot, Calvin Heino of Columbus, Ohio, Kasey Vice of Jacksonville, Ala., and Haley Whitman of Georgetown, Ind.; one sister, Laura Turner of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Alice Lowell; one sister, Ellen Hlister; and one daughter, Kathy Dodge.
