FARMINGTON — LEAP will hold its inaugural “Run, Walk, or Roll a Mile in My Shoes” on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Stone Soup Gardens, 482 Farmington Falls Road.

The cross-country benefit race and participation event is designed to rise awareness that people of all abilities can participate at their own level; introduce the community to Stone Soup Gardens and the Wellness Trail; and raise funds for LEAP wellness activities for people supported.

T-shirts will be given to the first 100 registrants who sign up by Friday, Sept. 14. They can be picked up on race day.

Registration  is $25 for a family, $15 individual and $10 for rolling participants.

Check-in begins at 10 a.m., race begins at 11.

Those choosing to run, walk or roll in this event will be supporting adults with developmental disabilities in western and central Maine communities.
