NORWAY — The Norway-Paris Kiwanis Club will host a mystery-themed dinner Saturday, Sept. 7, performed by Maine’s premiere mystery troupe, Mystery for Hire.

This is the major fundraiser of the year, club member Mary Anne Palmer said.

“This is a first ever. We decided we needed to change it up,” she said of the theater fundraiser.

The club’s mission is to serve children locally and around the world, Palmer said.

Locally, the club holds a bike rodeo in the spring where children can bring their bicycles for repairs and get instruction in bike safety. Each child also receives a free helmet. The club also holds a Dr. Seuss book breakfast each spring where children bring used books to trade and all get a new book to bring home.

The theater show is called “Hollywood Homicide.” It is a Mystery For Hire original script and will be performed at the Four Seasons Function Center on Route 26 in Paris. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $40 per person with proceeds supporting the community projects of the Kiwanis Club. Tickets may be purchased by calling Tina Croteau at 393-3612 or Mary Anna Palmer at 539-4800 or from any Kiwanis member.
