LEWISTON — As part of 2013 orientation and school-year opening activities at Bates College, a fireworks display will take place Tuesday, Sept. 3 beginning at 8:30 p.m., over the college’s Lake Andrews (between College and Russell streets) to welcome students, particularly first-year students. Classes begin the next day.
The college announces these displays out of consideration for nearby neighbors.
Produced by Central Maine Pyrotechnics, the display is expected to last less than 30 minutes.
