Returning letter-winners: Boys: Seniors — Mohamed Awil, Mohamed Mohamed, Abdifatah Mohamed; Junior — Isaiah Harris, Abdullahi Mohamed. Girls: Seniors — Faith Shaw, Mana Abdi, Taylor True; Junior — Courtney Allen, Norah Schlax, Nicole Footer; Sophomore— Dani Bellegrade.
Key losses: Mohamed Barre, Andrew Balsamo and Jordan Balsamo.
Promising newcomers: Boys: Seniors — Farhan Abdillahi; Junior — Jeremy Cairns; Sophomore— Dominique Sepulveda; Freshmen— Aden Mohamed. Girls: Junior — Farhiyo Aden; Freshman— Kayla Allen.
Season Outlook: The boys’ team is looking to repeat last year’s success with the hopes of finishing it off with a state title and New England Championship appearance. The girls’ team returns everyone from the 2012 season where they just missed out on qualifying for the state championship. With promising newcomers, the girls’ team is ready to make it back to the state championships.
