RUMFORD — The wedding of Kayla Marie Chiasson and Kevin Lloyd Capponi was held on Aug. 10 at 49 Franklin in Rumford. Scot Grassette officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Capponi is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Chiasson of Peru. Mr. Capponi is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Theriault, stepfather and the late Timothy Capponi.

The bride wore an ivory gown with lace fabric and carried a heirloom bouquet made from her mother’s wedding gown and grandmother’s and great-grandmother’s jewelry.

Tanya Nicols of Rumford, cousin, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Courtney Johnson of Mexico, Tia Dakin and Rachel Child, both of Dixfield, friends, Katie Hicks of Buckfield, sister of the bridegroom, and Ashley Hodge and Kristen Harvey, both of Dixfield, friends. Ashley Bailey of Jay, cousin of the bridegroom, was flower girl.

Dickie Cote of Hooksett, N.H., friend, was best man. Ushers were Steven Arsenault of Rumford and Zach Fergola of Mexico, friends, Cody Chiasson of Peru, brother of the bride, Dylan Hicks of Buckfield, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, Korey Staires of Lewiston and Jeremy Sterling of Arizona, friends. Junior usher was Kyle White of Rumford, cousin of the bride, and ring bearers were Gunnar Hicks of Buckfield, nephew of the bridegroom, and Colton White of Rumford, cousin of the bride.

The bride is a 2009 graduate of Dirigo High School and a 2012 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, where she received a bachelor’s degree. She is enrolled in graduate school at the University of New England and is employed at the Hope Association in Rumford.

The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, where he received a bachelor’s degree. He is employed at Bancroft Contracting in South Paris.
