PARIS — More than 150 quilts and blankets that were lost in a recent home fire were destined for needy children.

Laura Freeman and Wolf Gumm of Paris have been collecting quilts and blankets to send to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota at the end of October. A devastating house fire on Sept. 5 destroyed their home and all the contents.

They are in desperate need to replace the quilts and blankets for this worthy cause. Those who would like to help can drop off new baby- to full-size quilts, blankets, afghans or fleece throws to the following locations no later than Oct. 19.

To make a donation or for more information, contact Kathleen Currier at 784-7307 (leave a message) or email at k1930c@yahoo.com.
