LIVERMORE — Three new picnic tables have been stolen from the town’s Recreation Field off Route 4.

Recreation Committee Chairman Jeff Marceau alerted town officials to the theft on Sept. 6, Administrative Assistant Kurt Schaub said.

The tables are valued at $500 and were built, not bought, he said. The cost of materials came from the Recreation Field budget.

The town’s insurance coverage has a $1,000 deductible, he said.

The tables may have been missing for two to three weeks before the theft was discovered.

The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department was notified of the theft.
