AUBURN — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Norman F. Ouellette was celebrated by the Rev. Robert Lariviere Wednesday morning at Sacred Heart Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish.

During Mass the New Testament reading was proclaimed by close family friend, Janet Bishop. The Offertory Gifts were brought to the altar by Normand’s daughters, Jeannine Peyser and Claudette Croteau.

During the procession to the cemetery the Lewiston Public Works employees stood at attention with their fleet vehicles by their side lining up Deer Road to the entrance of St. Peter’s Cemetery paying final tribute and respect to fellow Lewiston Public Works employee, Raymond Ouellette’s father, Normand.

Upon arrival at St. Peter’s Cemetery Deacon Denis Mailhot recited committal prayers followed by the United States Navy Honor Detail playing “Taps” and presenting our country’s flag to Normand’s daughter, Jeannine Peyser in recognition of her father’s service to his country during World War II.

The pallbearers were Ron and Jamie Peyser, Steve Croteau, Matt Ouellette, George Bussiere and Chris Bilodeau.

At the conclusion of services all in attendance were invited to a reception of fellowship at Marco’s Restaurant in Lewiston. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home, Lewiston.
