LEWISTON — Geiger Elementary School was one of three regional schools receiving a grant and a membership from BJ’s Wholesale Club as part of the company’s Adopt-A-School Program.

Geiger, as well as a school in Portland and one in Portsmouth, N.H., received a $500 donation and a one-year membership as BJ’s celebrated 18 years with its Adopt-A-School program.

The schools are expected to use their donations for field trips, special events, new equipment or curriculum enhancements. The BJ’s program has served more than 2,575 elementary schools across the company’s 15-state footprint.
