Dresses still available to swap
RUMFORD — The MVHS Athletic Boosters would like to thank everyone who donated the many dresses for the “Dress Swap” held recently.
There are still dresses available. To get one or donate any, contact MVHS or call 364-0890. The Boosters will be holding another one sometime in the near future.
Openings on bus trip to Branson
RUMFORD — A fall bus trip to Branson Show Extravaganza is being offered. This is an 11-day, 10-night tour trip. The bus will leave from the Rumford Senior Center and Fireside Inn in Auburn on Nov. 15 and will return on Nov. 25.
The cost is $905 pp/do. Featured shows are Cassandre: Voice of an Angel Show, George Dyer Show, Buck Trent Show, The Haygoods Show, The Dutton Family Show, The Great American Christmas Show featuring Tony Orlando, and Showboat Branson Belle.
Other points of interest in this tour are Made in American Store, Indianapolis Museum of Art and the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Call the Center at 364-4700 or Anna Shaw at 364-3164 to make reservations. There are still some openings available.
Thomas College rep to visit
BETHEL — A representative from Thomas College in Waterville will visit Telstar High School in Bethel at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2.
The representative will meet with students to discuss Thomas’ academic and sports programs, and its residential life opportunities.

Bethel Area CROP Walk set
BETHEL — West Parish Congregational Church, UCC, will sponsor its eighth annual Bethel Area CROP Walk (Churches Respond to Overcome Poverty) at noon Sunday, Oct. 6.
The three-mile walk starts at the church at 32 Church St. and continues around Bethel Village.
Funds raised will benefit local and worldwide hunger and poverty relief: 75 percent to Church World Service and 25 percent to Bethel Food Pantry.

Friends of the Rumford Library
RUMFORD — The annual meeting of the Friends of the Rumford Library will take place Tuesday, Oct. 8, in the public room of the library.
