1941 – 2013
ENGLEWOOD, Fla. — Lise C. Tardif, 72, of Englewood, Fla., passed away on Monday, Sept. 23, at her Charlotte County residence.
Born on May 30, 1941, in Rouyen, Quebec, to Lucien and Cecile (Drouin) Gendreau, she was adopted by Hilaire and Julienne Touchette. A resident of Englewood, Fla., for 15 years, coming from Lewiston, she was educated at St. Peter’s Grammar School and St. Dominic Regional High School. She went on to Bernard’s Fashion School of Cosmetology in Auburn and was a professional hairdresser for 22 years. She was then a receptionist at Dow’s Law Office for nine years in Norway.
She was a volunteer at Englewood Community Hospital for several years and a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
Survivors include her loving husband of 46 years, Rosaire E. Tardif of Englewood, Fla.; mother, Cecile Drouin of Lac-Megantic, Quebec; one stepdaughter, Michelle C. (Fred) Merrill of West Gardiner; and three brothers, Jean-Louis (Hugette), Gerald and Raymond Gendreau, all of Montreal, Quebec.
She was predeceased by all but one her parents and two brothers, Gerald and Clement.
