Traficonte is a pastel and oil painter who first started painting outside in the Norway area with Alice Wickson in the 1980s. She can now be seen with a group of four women in the spring and summer swatting black flies off their wet paintings, or in the fall wearing red jackets, painting in the woods.

Traficonte also teaches students to paint en plein air. Her works are on display at the nearby Norway Bank Operations Center for the month of October and at Maurice Restaurant in South Paris. She recently has been accepted into the Oil Painters of America as an associate member.
