Howard, Montello Street, Lewiston, Saturday evening, the occasion being an old fashioned barn dance, in honor of the dedication of a new barn just completed by Mr. Howard. Twenty-five couple attended and to the music of Mr. Sturtevant’s violin, old fashioned dances kept time to the old fashioned tunes until long toward midnight the merry dancers fairly shook the rafters. Square dances and round dances, barn dances and minuets took one back to the olden days, when corn huskings and quilting parties were the events of the season. At intermission Mrs. Howard served delicious cake and hot coffee, the guest remaining until the last car.
