Knitting guild to hear guest speaker
PARIS — The Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet Tuesday, Oct. 1, at the First Congregational Church, East Main Street. Meetings begin with coffee at 10 a.m.
Robin Twitchell of Norway will be the guest speaker.
Members are reminded to bring items for outreach, such as baby hats for the hospital or bears to donate to the police departments.

Clothing center open Saturdays
HARTFORD — The Hartford Community Church Clothing Center will be open on Saturdays, Oct. 5 and 19, from 9 to 11 a.m. The center in located directly opposite the church.
Nature club to take foliage trip
PARIS — The Twin Town Nature Club will meet at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at Payne’s Redemption Center, 14 Paris Hill Road, to carpool on a local foliage tour.

PARIS — The Oxford Hills/Buckfield Adult Education has announced several classes.
Monday, Oct. 7: Zumba with Leann Weston from 5 to 6 p.m. for six weeks. Tuition is $25.
Tuesday, Oct. 8: Computer Keyboarding, with Nancy Tyrrell from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for five weeks. Tuition is $40.
Thursday, Oct. 10: Crochet for Beginners with Sherry Cavers from 6 to 8 p.m. for five weeks. Tuition is $35.
