1937 – 2013

AUBURN — Patricia E. Sullivan, 76, of Auburn, died at her home on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Born in Auburn on Jan. 14, 1937, she was the daughter of Joseph and Ida Roy Sullivan. She was educated in Auburn schools and a graduate of Edward Little High School. Following the death of her father in 1959, she helped her mother run a hotel in Old Orchard Beach from 1960-70, did day care for several years and worked at the Hannaford’s Supermarket in Auburn, until her retirement.

Pat enjoyed a good joke and laughed easily, and had a lifelong love of animals. Although she never had any of her own, she especially loved being around children. One of her favorite things was to take children out for rides in her convertible. She also enjoyed long walks, especially on the beach.

A member of the former St. Joseph’s Church in Lewiston, she is survived by her sister, Eileen Seger of New Canaan, Conn.; a nephew, Ron Seger and wife, Jody, of Wenham, Mass.; a niece, Kathleen and husband, David Derian, of Medfield, Mass.; and five grandnephews, Nicholas and William Derian, and James, Christopher and Michael Seger.
