Alder River harvest supper

BETHEL — Alder River Grange will hold a public Harvest Supper at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. Cost is $8 for adults, $3 under 12.

Fire Dept. to visit library

RUMFORD — The Rumford Fire Department will be at the Rumford Public Library at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, during regular Story Time.

This is part of Fire Safety week. The children will see a firefighter in full fire gear, explore the fire truck and use the fire hose.

All area children are welcome.

Pork supper, dance at club

RUMFORD — A roast pork supper and dance will take place Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Snowshoe Club, 227 Waldo St.

The meal includes potato, vegetable, cole slaw, bread, dessert, coffee and punch.

Supper will run from 5 to 6 p.m.

Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

The dance is from 7 to 11 p.m. Music provided by Watermelon Wine.
